We have plated this rod for rust resistance and provided it with 6" scale in ¼" increments engraved on end of the rod for measuring the slump. These gauges are also known as length gauges, and measure the aggregate length of individual particles. When the length of the aggregate particles is 1.8 times more than the normal size, these are considered to be elongated. The tests conducted by using length gauges are not applicable to material retained on 63.0 mm BS test sieve.
